Here are the Report Card and Conference Guidelines

Report Cards are due on Friday September 9

Conference Schedules are due Wednesday, September 14

Report Card Comment Guidelines

Start with student strengths

Provide one or two areas of focus for parent intervention

Use data wisely and include detailed explanations of any assessment and acronym

Show student work samples comparing with proficient work.

Preferred comments include phrases like “at grade level”, “below grade level” and “above grade level”

Conferences

Start by asking parents about their child.  Listen and take notes.

Once again start with strengths and positives.

Share all concerns, but focus parental intervention on one or two areas for support.
