In the next few weeks Sylvia and I will be focusing our walkthroughs on the writing block. As we observe writing instruction, we will use the following questions to guide our feedback:
Do students have access to a written model and how is it supporting their writing?
Do students have the opportunity to talk about their writing?
Is there a high degree of relevance and an authentic audience for writing?
