English Learner Focus

In anticipation of collaborations that start on February 27th, please set aside some time to discuss the progress and needs of our English Learners, especially those who are not making expected progress.  I would like each teacher to select one student and bring student work, formative assessment, and observation data of your choosing to answer the following questions.

In what areas has this student made progress academically? (How do you know?)

In what areas is this student struggling to progress?  (How do you know?)

What are the instructional routines that have proven most effective with your student?

What instructional routines are most challenging for your student?

Our goal is to highlight the best practices for these students that would also benefit other English Learners.
